It's Pow Wow Time Again...

An 8 year old Aztec boy in full regalia at Cleveland's annual Edgewater Pow Wow.

Unfortunately I'm back in Japan, just in time to miss it all. Luckily I was able to make a breif cameo at Cleveland's annual Pow Wow at Edgewater Park before getting back to work after a 10 day stay in my home sweet home of Ohio, known to almost every Japanese person I meet as the Good Morning State (^-^)/.

The last time I had the privledge of attending a Pow Wow was almost 2 years ago at Mohican, before begining my new life as a JET in Japan. You can read more about Pow Wows and see a lot more pictures here and here.

I pass Edgewater twice a day, Monday thru Friday, yet I knew nothing about the Pow Wow. It's annual?

Patty: I understand...I lived in C-town my entire life and never heard about the pow-wow until I left for Japan. Its held every year during the Father's Day weekend at Edgewater Park on West Memorial Shoreway. If you're interested in Pow Wows, there may be one coming up soon at Mohican Reservation :)

Jess: ありがとう!How's the repatriation going? Must be nice to be home!

Love your pictures, especially the ones of the Aztec Battle dance. The pow-wow event looks awesome, so many different tribes there. Wonderful.
I make Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) as a hobby, and I was in a card swap about the Aztecs, Mayas, and Incas. I came across your pictures (on a different site, I think) while referencing, and loved the Aztec Battle dance so much. I did a pencil crayon version of it for my trade. These trades are free so I'm not making any money off of it. It's just enjoyment :) Anyways, the site I am on is making a book about our ATCs. The books proceeds will be going to charity (which will be determined). I want to include the ATC I made of your photo, and want to get your permission to do so. Please let me know if its possible. And if you want to take a look at the picture check it out at http://www.illustratedatcs.com/forum/gallery/index.php?n=4174
